I drew the Healing card this morning when I wondered what to write about. What a loaded word: healing. What does it bring to your mind immediately? Illness? Pain? Suffering? Or wellness, wholeness, vitality, harmony? Sometimes I think the word is worn out for me, and I like to think of a new one. Like maybe. . . Okay, interesting, a lot of different words and energies are arising. Before I say what they are for me, I invite you to really ask yourself what healing means for you. Do you want it? Why? What will it give you? What is it that you really want, what you will feel or have when you are healed? Healed of your physical and/or emotional pain. What would life be like? Who would you be? What would you do that you can’t do now? Or maybe a better question would be what would you feel that you can’t feel now? I remind myself a lot these days that “this is it.” I don’t want to wait for some future state or circumstance before I be who I ache to be. Just myself. My true self.
So, what came up for me as preferable words to healing were things like: contentment, vacation, wide open road, laughter, peace, quiet.
Some excerpts from the Healing card:
Carbon makes the most of the pressure, allowing itself to become diamond.
Left alone, chaos always returns to order.
There’s nothing shameful in suffering. I forgive myself for hurting and open to the message it brings, without dwelling or storytelling.
When I feel most alone, I am getting ready, under the surface, to see the myriad of love and protection in all form, surrounding and supporting me now and forever.
I trust in the path I have chosen.
All is well. All is well. And all shall be well.
