It’s said that the mind makes a POWERFUL SERVANT but a terrible master.
If my mind feels like a WILD HORSE, I whisper for it to come home, come home, it’s good here. I’ll take care of you, there’s nothing to fear. Together we will ride the wind! I will call you my friend: FOCUSED MIND.
I can let my mind RELAX, open like a flower, and receive ideas. I can let it wander, be lazy, become scattered, be noisy with a thick train of thoughts. And I can zoom in with the mind, like focusing a camera. Or like light, gathered to a point, which becomes a laser beam powerful enough to cut through metal with PRECISION. I too can effectively direct my thoughts. I can STEP BACK from the momentum of life I’ve got going, tap into higher wisdom, and shift attention to what’s most important.
First, I must decide what that is. Why am I here? What do I want most? What benefits me and others too? And what do I let come in the way of that? What or who most often distracts or derails me? Am I willing to continue being a victim of my own habits, my own past thinking?
My needs and desires are important. No one else can really know what’s best for me. I investigate my own mind and life. I concentrate, discriminate, and decide.
I PULL WEEDS so beauty can grow, and true nourishment.
It’s a NEW DAY. My mind can be as clear as a CLEAR MORNING.
(these are some sort of unfocused, fresh thoughts for a new Inner Diamond card)
